A FAMILY-OWNED Italian restaurant has opened a new outlet in Otley.
Buon Apps has moved from its original base at Wharfebank Mills - previously Wharfebank Business Centre - to a different riverside location.
The newly-named Buon Apps River Lounge and Italian Restaurant, now open to the public, is part of David Wilson Homes' Garnett Wharfe development.
Occupying two storeys the restaurant features a bar and an outdoor Wharfe Garden terrace, with views across the river, along with a fish grill.
It can seat up to 100 diners with space for another 40 in the terrace, weather permitting.
Co-owners and husband and wife team, Alessandro Proietti and Elena Sofia Tocca, have also produced new cocktail - Wharfe Breeze - to celebrate the opening.
Elena Sofia said: "We had been interested in the property since finding out about the plans for a potential restaurant space on site, due to its grandeur and stunning location.
"We hope that having the restaurant conveniently close by will be the cherry on top of the cake for Garnett Wharfe residents, and we look forward to welcoming both them and the public from Otley and beyond to our new premises."
Land Director at David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, David Coe, added: "This is the first David Wilson Homes development in the region to feature a restaurant on site, not to mention such a well known and well loved business as Buon Apps.
"The former Hartley House premises was the perfect setting for a restaurant and we’re pleased to have been able to work alongside both Elena and Alessandro to see it restored and given a new lease of life for the public to enjoy."
Built on the site of the former Garnett paper mill, Garnett Wharfe consists of some 200 new homes - of varying sizes - and is also getting a visitor centre.
