A NEW President has taken over at Otley Lions Club.
Jonathan Kirkland was appointed at a ceremony held at Otley Rugby Club on Sunday, June 24, when David McDowell was also welcomed as Vice President.
The guests included Otley's Deputy Town Mayor, Councillor Peter Jackson, and Town Bellman Terry Ford.
The Yorkshire Brain Research Centre will be the new president's charity for the year.
Money from the club's annual Christmas activities will go to the cause and Mr Kirkland will also be organising other fundraising events.
The Yorkshire Brain Research Centre is working for better diagnosis, treatment and outcomes for patients with brain conditions including neurodegenerative disease, epilepsy, Parkinson's and Multiple Sclerosis.
