OTLEY Lions Club has appointed its new President for the year ahead.
David McDowell was welcomed into the role at a special presentation event which was held recently at Leathley Village Hall.
Mr McDowell was presented with his chain of office by outgoing president Jonathan Kirkland.
Mr Kirkland used the occasion to thank members for all the hard work they had put in over the previous 12 months.
This is the second time that Mr McDowell has taken on the presidency of the club.
Accepting his chain of office, Mr McDowell sketched out some of his ambitions for 2019-2020.
He told fellow members that his plans included ‘exploring new ideas and activities’ over the next year to support the club as it continued its work to help those who are in need, and to serve the community.
