AIREBOROUGH Rotary Club marked its 66th anniversary with a celebratory evening.
More than 70 guests, including members from nine other clubs were present at the event, which included presentations to a number of Rotarians.
The guest speaker for the evening was Guiseley born Jane Sowerby, who became a Paralympic skier after an accident left her paralysed from the waist down. She has since set up a charity Access Adventures to improve access to adventure sports for people with disabilities.Camps include wakeboarding, water skiing, landsailing, kite surfing and scuba diving.
Jane was injured in 2003 and competed in the Winter Paralympics in Canada in 2010. Later in the year she raised thousands of pounds for charity by cycling 70 miles from Ben Nevis to the Cairngorm Mountains.
