A YOUNG Menston girl has raised £400 for the charity Together for Short Lives.
Cecellia Ward held an afternoon tea at The Old Barn in Esholt which was attended by 40 people.
Together with a raffle the event raised £400 for the charity which is the registered charity for children’s palliative care in the UK.
Cecellia is doing charity work in a bid to win a place at the finals of Miss Teen Great Britain which takes place in October.
The nine-year-old has already beaten competition from across Great Britain to be named as one of the semi-finalists.
The grand final of Little Miss Teen Great Britain will be held at The Globe in Blackpool.
“Making it to the grand final would be a dream come true – fingers crossed I will be able to represent my hometown and win the Little Miss Teen Great Britain crown!” said Cecillia.
