Ilkley and District Motor Club has a new president.

After two years in the post Nick Pullan has stepped down and Chris Tindall has taken over the reigns of the organisation which is based at Otley rugby club.

Both men have held the role before and are guiding the club through changes being imposed by the governing body, Motor Sport UK, and the challenge of boosting membership.

Mr Tindall took over at the AGM and will see the club, which was formed in 1910 at the Crescent Hotel, Ilkley, celebrate it’s 110th anniversary this year.

Before passing on the chains of office Mr Pullan drew the winning ticket from a hat for a ride in a world rally car. The lucky winner was club member David Smith. The raffle was in aid of Mr Pullan’s chosen charity, The Multiple Sclerosis Society, and raised £540. A total of £5051 has been raised for the charity throughout his two year term in office.
