FOOD and drink businesses in the Wharfedale district which have gone ‘above and beyond’ to help people during lockdown could taste success in a regional awards scheme.
Deliciouslyorkshire has launched the Lockdown Legends Awards, to recognise excellence under adversity within the industry.
The venture, being staged in association with design and branding consultancy CHILLI, invites entries from businesses themselves as well as nominations from the public.
Deliciouslyorkshire chairman, Judy Bell, said: “The last few months have been a challenging time for everyone, but we’ve seen just how resilient and creative Yorkshire’s food and drink businesses can be.
“These awards will showcase some of the many stories we’ve heard of businesses finding creative ways to support both the sector and their communities.”
Entries and nominations can be submitted at deliciouslyorkshire.co.uk, until August 14.
A shortlist will then be announced and winners will be chosen through an online vote.
The results will be revealed, across two categories, on Tuesday September 1.
