A ‘STEAMPLUNK’ inspired ukulele rock quartet are preparing to perform as part of the Otley Online Music Festival.
The fourth round of the festival, which was started in the summer by micro-brewer and musician/sound engineer Paul Briscoe, will take place from 7.30pm on Friday, October 9.
The lineup will include Ullalele, Jeremy Bradford, David Jameson, Adrian Burns and Stephen Philips.
A variety of local bands and solo artists have been showcased over the past several months.
Working remotely, the participating musicians post videos of their work online alongside a fundraising link for anyone who can afford to make a donation.
So far the festival has raised almost £600 for local causes and the organisers are hoping to see even more people logging in this time.
The proceeds will be divided between a number of projects including Otley Parish Church’s Local to Global campaign which supports Caring For Life (at Crag House Farm, Leeds) and Kisiizi Hospital, Uganda.
The Woolpack Music and Arts Studios in Otley will also receive donations with a small percentage going to professional performing musicians. Visit https://otleymusicfestival.wordpress.com for more.
