OTLEY Lions have done their bit to help ensure poorly children receive a Christmas gift this year.
The club has made a £500 donation to the Yorkshire Children’s Hospitals Christmas Gift Appeal which collects and delivers thousands of presents for children who are having to spend the festive season in a local hospital or hospice.
An Otley Lions spokesperson said: “Due to Covid-19 everyone is struggling, especially charities. A lot of people aren’t in the position they usually are to donate to these causes but the Lions club has been lucky enough to keep our shop open until the most recent lockdown, and still raise funds. We felt this was one worthy cause we could support.”
