A PARTNERSHIP between Otley Lions and Prince Henry’s Grammar School is helping families who have been affected by the pandemic.
Targeted families from local primary and secondary schools who work with the Otley, Pool and Bramhope Cluster’s Parent Support Adviser are receiving vouchers to create hampers from local businesses like Middlemiss Butchers, O’Fresh Deli and Asda.
Parent Support Worker at Prince Henry’s Angie Wilson said: “When the Lions asked if we could help their campaign to help people affected by the pandemic this seemed like the perfect solution. This lets us spread a little Christmas cheer to those who need it.”
Otley Lions Club President Richard Phillips said: “There are families struggling due to reduced hours or the loss of one or more jobs that need support and we are glad we were able to help.” Sixth formers at Prince Henry’s have also been busy collecting for Otley Food Bank.
