THE POLICE have repeated a warning about dangerous parking on Otley Chevin.
Thirty three fixed penalty notices were issued to motorists for parking irresponsibly on East Chevin Road in November. Now West Yorkshire Police has warned that it is prepared to act again
Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson said: “We have had multiple reports of inconsiderate and sometimes dangerous parking on grass verges on East Chevin Road, Otley.
“Whilst we would not like to discourage you from visiting the Chevin we would like to remind you that there are multiple public car parks for use.
“If you do find yourself parking on the side of the road please ensure no part of your vehicle is hanging into the road or otherwise blocking the view of traffic or pedestrians wanting to cross.
“Any obstructive and/or dangerous parking will be enforced via fixed penalty notices.”
