ANEETA Seshan of Stitchytales, a textile artist living in Burley-in-Wharfedale, is having a Spring Sale at the Roundhouse, Grange Park, Burley-in-Wharfedale on Saturday, May 29 from 10am to 5pm.
She will be exhibiting and selling her embroidery stitchings, prints of the Burley-in-Wharfedale Map, and new commissioned pieces to celebrate birthdays, new baby, weddings, new home and anniversaries.
Aneeta Seshan is a graduate from Glasgow School of Art and the Scottish College of Textiles.
Her embroidered work is of a domestic, homely nature reflecting her love of home, family and everyday objects.
Her colour palette influenced by her Indian background is vibrant, rich and colourful. Aneeta sketches and colours her designs before translating them to fabric. The embroideries are machine and hand stitched using rayon and cotton threads.
