WHILST many local businesses are being impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, causing a rise in unemployment, one local business has 25 jobs on offer for people with or without sector experience.

Home Instead Ilkley, a company that provides at-home care, is looking for new caregivers to meet an increase in demand due to the pandemic.

Given the number of businesses in the area that have had to close or make redundancies, including in retail and hospitality, the company hopes to improve the local employment rate.

Home Instead employs caregivers who come from a range of sectors; a warm heart and desire to make a difference is prized over previous experience.

The company provides services from companionship through to personal care and specialised dementia care.

The company are also looking to recruit up to five live-in caregivers, who move into a client’s home and provide care.

Simon White, owner of Home Instead Ilkley, said: “It’s heartbreaking to see some successful businesses in the area suffer due to the virus.

“Across Ilkley, Skipton and the whole of West Yorkshire, there are people whose future employment is uncertain through no fault of their own.

“We’re looking for 25 kind-hearted and friendly people to join our team of caregivers who provide care and companionship to seniors across the area.

“Whether you have faced redundancy or want to try something new, we’d love you to consider working for Home Instead.

“You don’t need to have a background in care - we will offer you the training you need and immerse you in the company’s values which ensure that the care we deliver is outstanding.”
