PROTESTORS will read their own Declaration of Independence in an event outside Menwith Hill on Sunday.
The protest, from 2pm to 3.30pm, will be held by The Menwith Hill Accountability Campaign, which marks the 4th of July each year with a call for Independence from the United States of America.
Because of Covid-19 this year’s event will be held mostly on Zoom. There will be a reading of a Declaration of Independence from America, a number of short talks, and music provided by the East Lancs Clarion Choir and the Peace Artistes. Organisers say they are also pleased to have a contribution from MP Alex Sobel.
There will be a small party at the Main Gates of Menwith Hill, all other participants will be online using Zoom. Contact mail@themhac.uk for an invitation.
