ROAD closures will require the diversion of some weekend DalesBus services from Ilkley during September and October.

Barden Moor Road, linking Barden with Eastby, is currently closed to allow Northern Powergrid to undertake cable replacement work, so Saturday DalesBus 74 and Sunday Cravenlink bus 873 will be unable to use that road for several weeks.

Harrogate Road in Skipton will also close shortly to allow installation of drainage for the new housing development. As a result Sunday Cravenlink bus 884 will be unable to operate via The Bailey for several weeks.

The bus service changes are as follows:

DalesBus 74: Bradford – Ilkley - Grassington

From 11th September until the end of the summer season on 16th October DalesBus 74 will be diverted between Bolton Bridge and Grassington via Cracoe. This will provide shorter journey times to Grassington, and new links to Cracoe, but stops in the Embsay, Barden and Burnsall areas will not be served. Bolton Bridge will be served as normal. The revised timetable is available at www.dalesbus.org/74 and on leaflets from the usual outlets, including Ilkley Railway Station and Bradford Interchange Travel Centre.

Cravenlink 873: Ilkley - Skipton

From 12th September for the duration of the closure of Barden Moor Road Cravenlink bus 873 will be diverted between Bolton Abbey and Embsay via the A59 and Low Lane. Stops in the Strid Wood, Barden and Eastby areas will not be served. Times at other stops will not change. Strid Wood & Barden will still be served by DalesBus 874 as normal.

Cravenlink 884: Bradford - Malham

From 19th September until further notice service 884 will be diverted between Draughton and Skipton Bus Station via Newmarket Street. Stops at Overdale, The Bailey and Skipton High Street will not be served on journeys between Ilkley and Skipton in either direction.

The latest updates on these service changes will be available at www.dalesbus.org/news
