LEEDS North West MP Alex Sobel joined the hospitality industry’s main trade associations, professional bodies and charities in celebrating National Hospitality Day.
The nationwide event, on September 18, celebrated hotels, restaurants, pubs, bars, foodservice outlets, and the suppliers that support them.
Mr Sobel said, “I have long been a supporter of the hospitality industry. Such venues are the beating heart of our cities, towns and villages and we are so fortunate that in Leeds and my constituency to have so many fantastic options. However, the sector has been among the hardest hit industries over the last 18 months, and unfortunately venues are not out of the woods despite the end of Covid-19 restrictions. I urge everyone to get down to their local pub, restaurant, café or hotel as much as they can as the pandemic comes to an end.
He added:“If you can spare a few pounds please make a donation on the UK Hospitality Website, where your gift will be shared amongst the four main industry charities supporting hospitality workers who have fallen on hard times."
