AN ILKLEY man pleaded guilty to criminal damage when he appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court on Wednesday, February 2.
Michael Christopher Seed, 33, of Collyer View, Leeds Road, Ilkley, admitted damaging an external telephone belonging to Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged contrary to sections 1(1) and 4 of the Criminal Damage Act 1971. He committed the offence on September 13, 2021.
He was discharged conditionally for 12 months, ordered to pay compensation of £100, a surcharge to fund victim services of £22 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
