PLANS to introduce a 20mph limit in a Bramhope estate are being consulted on by Leeds City Council.
The proposed traffic regulation order will introduce a 20mph zone throughout the Spring Wood estate as well as double yellow lines on a section of Spring Wood Crescent.
The scheme is being planned as a result of the ongoing development works at the Miller Homes development and is funded via a Section 278 Agreement between Leeds City Council and the developer.
An email to Adel and Wharfedale councillor Barry Anderson from Leeds City Council says the proposals aim to make all the roads in the residential area safer roads to drive on.
Cllr Anderson has been invited to comment on the scheme by Friday, February 25 and he is asking local people to get in touch with him if they would like him to make representation on their behalf.
The Miller Homes development is a 319-home scheme in Bramhope at Spring Wood Park, between Leeds Road and Breary Lane East. The development includes a retail unit.
