A 57-YEAR-old man pleaded guilty to stealing meat worth £53 from the Co-op in Ilkley when he appeared in court.
Paul James Darracott, 57, of Atherstone Road, Bradford, appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court on Friday, February, 4 to admit stealing two lamb chops, two braising steaks, two pork chops, two chickens and two pork steaks belonging to The Co-operative Food Company.
The offence took place in Ilkley on November 2, 2021.
He was discharged conditionally for 12 months, ordered to pay compensation of £53 and pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £22.
There was no order for costs due to the limited means of the defendant.
The defendant's guilty plea taken into account when imposing sentence.
