OTLEY's first ever Coffee Festival is taking place this weekend.

The long-awaited event was originally planned for 2020 but was postponed because of covid. It will now take place on Saturday, April 30, at All Saints Parish Church. It will be opened by Otley Town Mayor, Cllr Sylvia Thomson at 10.15am, who will be introduced by Otley Bellman, Terry Ford, in the presence of Leeds North West MP Alex Sobel. The event will close with a presentation to the event charities at 3.30pm. Every ticket sold will benefit one of the nominated charities - Farmers’ Voice Radio, Oxfam, Hug on a Tray, and Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

A spokesman said: "All stands have been taken, the music and talks line-ups are now confirmed and a team of 25 volunteers is in place to ensure that the event runs a s smoothly as possible. Talks will focus on help for coffee consumers. These will be interspersed with great music from local artists."

Tickets are available on the door for £7.50. Festival goers can save money by buying advance tickets before Saturday at https://otleycourthouse.org.uk/

The festival has been sponsored and supported locally by Otley Bid, Otley Town Council, Buon Apps River Lounge and Italian Restaurant and Greenholme Carpets.
