A CARELESSLY discarded cigarette proved expensive for a Horsforth man.
Alfie Swale, 22, of Wood Bottom View, Horsforth, was fined £205.00 at Greater Manchester Magistrates' Court on May 12, after admitting dropping a cigarette on Market Street, Manchester, on August 27, 2021, and leaving it there.
He was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £125.
The balance of £364 is to paid by June 9, 2022.
The defendant's guilty plea taken into account when imposing sentence.
