PRIMARY schools in the region have received their individual Usborne illustrated dictionaries thanks to the Aireborough Rotary Club and a donation from Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire’s District 1040.

Westfield Juniors and St Peter and St Paul Catholic Primary School were among schools presented with their Dictionaries4Life copies prior to breaking up for the summer.

The dictionaries were also presented to eight other primary schools in Guiseley, Horsforth, Rawdon and Yeadon.

Rotarian John Moorhouse said: "It was simply a joy to do face to face presentations after a three-year absence."

A surprise addition to the presentation team was Athens based Aireborough member Petros Tsitnidis, back in Leeds to undertake successfully the Viva for his Ph.D on Social Housing.

For all the team it was a chance to tell the children and teachers about Rotary activities locally and internationally with the support for the Ukraine, the new lifeboat and Aquabox all included.
