A DRIVER who admitted driving with cannabis in his system and being in possession of the Class B drug has been disqualified from driving and ordered to carry out unpaid work.
Alaad-Din Ahmed, 38, of Westgate, Otley, pleaded guilty before magistrates at Kirklees on July 19 to one charge of drug-driving which occurred in Bradford Road, Dewsbury, on December 9 last year.

Ahmed also admitted possessing a quantity of cannabis on the same day.
Magistrates disqualified him from driving for 20 months. He was also handed a 12 months community order to include a rehabilitation activity requirement, must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge of £95.
