AIREBOROUGH Civic Society has its next community meeting, on Tuesday, January 31, at 7.30pm at Rawdon Library.
A civic society spokesperson said: "New members and observers are especially welcome as we continue with the vision of ‘making Aireborough a better place to live’. Aireborough Civic Society has been doing just that for 50 years – it was set up in 1972.
"This month we shall be looking at plans to convert more of the original buildings at High Royds Hospital, including the Clocktower, the removal of a rare Victorian shopfront in Yeadon High Street and the latest news on the future of the Grade 2 Listed Micklefield House (in Micklefield Park), as well as planning for our annual litter picking day in the Spring.
"We also are discussing designs for a new bench for Rawdon’s Micklefield Park sponsored by Leeds Civic Trust."
