ILKLEY-based bridal accessory company, The Bobby Pin has been crowned a national winner at The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA) 2023.
Having been named as a regional finalist for the Yorkshire and North East region back in November, The Bobby Pin went on to scoop a national title at the final of the prestigious awards, which took place during a glittering ceremony in London on January 25, 2023.
Deemed the Oscars of the wedding industry, TWIA are particularly special as the initial nomination and votes come directly from brides and grooms that have brought a brand’s goods or used a supplier’s services for their own big day.
Celebrating the win, founder and owner of The Bobby Pin, Lisa Steane, said: “Given that the votes come from brides that have chosen Bobby Pin accessories for their own wedding means the absolute world. It lets us know that we’re making our customers happy, from the designs we produce to the service we deliver and all that’s in between. We were truly blown away by the amazing feedback from voters.
“To be named as a regional finalist was honour enough, and so to take a national title is nothing short of incredible.”
TWIA was established in 2011 to recognise and reward excellence in the UK wedding industry and help anyone organising a wedding find the best suppliers.
Beating off stiff competition from the likes of toastmasters, bridal seamstresses and wedding entertainment companies, The Bobby Pin was awarded the national title in the ‘Special Touch’ category, which highlights those dedicated to helping brides and grooms personalise their wedding celebrations.
Lisa added: “What better way to kick off 2023 than being crowned a national TWIA winner? It’s shaping up to be a super exciting year for The Bobby Pin as we prepare to launch a new collection stocked exclusively at select bridal boutiques across the UK and overseas, whilst also adding fresh bridal accessory and jewellery designs to our popular online collections.”
Established in 2016 by Lisa Steane, The Bobby Pin was born out of a love of fashion and accessories, but most importantly, Lisa’s ability to spot trends before they’ve fully emerged. Weaving leading looks into her captivating collections, Lisa aims to deliver something new and exciting to style-conscious brides enabling them to express their individuality and break free of the traditional bridal mould. The Bobby Pin’s mainline accessory collections are available to buy online and are shipped worldwide. Designs from The Bobby Pin Boutique Collection are stocked at select bridal boutiques across the UK and overseas.
