RAWDON Community Library is now open from 11am to 2pm on Sundays to provide a warm space for anyone to enjoy.
Clive Woods, a member of the Rawdon Community Library Steering Group said: "As far as we know we are the only library in Leeds to open on Sundays. There will be a free hot drink and a biscuit for all comers.
“We have newspapers, magazines and of course a wide range of books. There’s free Wifi and computers available.
"We also have a selection of board games which you can play in the library, and jigsaws which you can borrow to take home. Or just come to meet old friends and make new ones for a good chat.
"For children, there are lots of exciting and fun books to read and colouring to do. The library is next to Micklefield Park and it's very good children’s play area. Ideal for families to combine a visit to the park and the library at weekends. Don’t worry if you’ve never been in before – our volunteer welcomers will be on hand to help you.
"Our Community Library is also open Mondays and Saturdays from 10-1, and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10-5. Library membership is free."
