THE AIR ambulance rushed to a country road after a crash.
The collision happened on Newall Car Road, between Otley and Blubberhouses, heading west on Wednesday.
It involved two vehicles.
North Yorkshire Police was called to the crash at 2.20pm and the road was blocked heading towards Blubberhouses while officers cleared the scene.
The force urged people to avoid the area at that time.
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAS) said it sent two ambulances, an air ambulance and a team leader to the scene.
Two people were rushed to Leeds General Infirmary (LGI) by road.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Collision near Otley. We're at the scene of a collision involving two vehicles on Newall Carr Road, north of Otley.
"It happened at about 2.20pm.
"We're working to make sure everyone is safe, and to clear the scene.
"Please avoid the area for the meantime."
A full statement from YAS said: "We received an emergency call at 2.16pm this afternoon to report a collision on Weston Moor Road between Blubberhouses and Otley. "Two ambulances, an air ambulance and team leader were dispatched to the scene and two patients were conveyed to Leeds General Infirmary (by road)."
