Otley Action for Older People have been supported by the Alfred Masonic Lodge to buy essential IT equipment.
Joe Woollin, Digital Inclusion Development Worker said: "Otley Action support older people who live independently in the community. Over time we have seen a significant rise in requests for bus pass renewals and applications for Blue Badges. These services are generally only accessible online as is the case for many services. We want to help digitally excluded older people access services, empower them, and ensure they are not experiencing discrimination.
"To do this, we need reliable I.T. equipment to meet the rising demand. We were delighted when the Alfred Lodge of the Masons offered to pay for a PC to support this work.
"We purchased a Levono Idea Centre All in One PC at a cost of £549.99 in February and have already put it to good use. Many thanks to the Lodge for supporting this valuable work."
