ILKLEY-based author, Alan Reynolds’ latest novel has just been published by Fisher King Publishers.
Pendle Cottage marks a change of direction after his recent historical trilogy, moving into the supernatural genre.
The story follows a family who book a three week holiday in a picturesque cottage in a remote Cornish village. Unbeknown to the family, it was the scene of a brutal murder just six months earlier. It soon becomes clear that all is not well; some locals believe the cottage is cursed, others that it’s haunted by the spirits of the victims. Both descriptions prove accurate as the family’s very survival is threatened.
Pendle Cottage is the fifteenth novel by Alan Reynolds to be published, attracting a global readership. Two of his novels ‘Flying with Kites’ and ‘The Tinker’ have been adapted for the big screen and is presently being considered by two film producers.
There will be a formal launch at the end of July when the author will be speaking and signing copies at the Grove Bookshop in Ilkley.
