Climate action charity, Otley 2030 is looking for more volunteer trustees to become part of the team as it grows.
The community group, which became a charity in 2023, is responsible for many projects and partnerships around the town, most recently supporting with the Warm Spaces initiative as well as the community buyout of Weston Woods, and the Methodist Church. They are now looking for more people to join their volunteer board, particularly for somebody with legal experience and also a person to fulfil the role of treasurer.
Community Development Lead, Andrew Howarth said: “We are going through a period of growth, and we need to apply for funding to help us keep up with the demand for our projects. We’re hearing from more and more individuals and organisations who want to work with us and to benefit from our advice and support. We need more people to help us organise the charity and do our important work and we’re open to applications!”
The Otley 2030 board meet every two months.
