SAMUEL Moore, a Yorkshire based flamenco guitarist and former resident of Ilkley, has just been announced as a First Category Prize Winner in the prestigious Manhattan International Music Competition.
Consequently, he is scheduled to perform solo next week at New York's Carnegie Hall.
Of his recent success, Samuel said: “I never imagined such a thing would happen! This truly is a dream come true! What an honour to win such a prize and have the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall! I’m particularly humbled to be the only British prize-winner, as well as the only winner to specialise in a musical discipline outside of the classical tradition!”
Samuel is scheduled to fly out to New York next week and perform at Carnegie Hall on Saturday, July 15.
