TO launch the publication of his latest novel, Pendle Cottage, award-winning author, Alan Reynolds, is holding a presentation and book signing event at The Grove Book Shop, Ilkley, on Wednesday, July 26th, starting at 7pm.
Pendle Cottage marks a change of direction after his recent historical trilogy, moving into the supernatural genre.
The story follows a family who book a three week holiday in a picturesque cottage in a remote Cornish village. Unbeknown to the family, it was the scene of a brutal murder just six months earlier. It soon becomes clear that all is not well; some locals believe the cottage is cursed, others that it’s haunted by the spirits of the victims. Both descriptions prove accurate as the family’s very survival is threatened.
Alan will be discussing how he got into writing, the inspiration for some of his books as well as sharing some of the interesting facts he discovered while researching.
For those who wish to find out more about the world of publishing, Rick Armstrong of Fisher King Publishing, will also be present and available to answer questions.
There will be a glass of wine and a convivial atmosphere, everyone is welcome.
Please call or phone the Grove Book Shop for tickets on 01943 609335.
