A MAN who fell from a bridge earlier this week has died, West Yorkshire Police has confirmed.
The man, who was in his forties, fell from the West Chevin Road bridge over the A660 Rotary Way, just before 8am on Wednesday morning and died in hospital later that night.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been prepared for the coroner.
Major road closures were in place for large parts of Wednesday as emergency services attended the incident.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "A man who was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a fall from a bridge in Otley has passed away in hospital.
"The man, who was in his forties, died on Wednesday night after the incident which occurred on the West Chevin Road bridge over the A660 Rotary Way at just before 8am on Wednesday.
"His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been prepared for the coroner."
