THE Otley and Wharfedale Fundraising Group for Macmillan Cancer Support held their coffee morning and table top sale on Friday, September 29 at Otley Core.
They had a very busy and successful morning with good weather. The group was given a cheque from a local man Dave Bone who with two friends Paul Curtis and Steve Wilkins did a sponsored cycle ride from Otley to Liverpool. They raised £1,200. This was the second year they had done the cycle ride.
Dave wanted to thank Paul and Steve for their support and to everyone who donated.
Dave said: "We had great help from the Falcon Sports and Social Club and Weegman's towards our target of £1,200 all gratefully appreciated."
Otley Aerobics group also did a sponsored class in fancy dress and raised £1,426 on Thursday in aid of Macmillan.
