Ilkley Philharmonic Orchestra’s summer concert features three really popular classical favourites.

Rossini’s sparkling overture to his opera Semiramide opens the programme, followed by Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for Winds, which uses four soloists.

Conductor John Anderson said: “Ilkley is very lucky to have such a terrific community orchestra and it is a real delight to showcase the talents of our principal woodwind players, Chris Garbutt oboe, Gina Cockshott clarinet, Simon Twigge horn and Rosemary Anderson bassoon.

"Beethoven’s dramatic ‘Pastoral Symphony’ completes the programme and is really joyful music throughout - not to be missed!"

The concert takes place on Sunday, June 9 in All Saints’ Church, Ilkley at 7.30pm.
