WATSON’S Wellness Workshops has announced the first Great Otley Craft De-stash sale, celebrating creativity, community, and crafting supplies.
It takes place on Saturday, July 20, at Wesley Hall, Otley Methodist Church, 65 Walkergate, Otley LS21 1AG from 10am - 2pm.
There are still stalls available £20 for large tables and £15 for small tables. This includes refreshments for stall holders. Stall holders can sell any craft-related resources but not finished items. Organisers are looking for crafts from all disciplines, sewing, knitting, felting jewellery, leatherwork, macrame and art-related items.
Andi Petch, the organiser said: “If this one is successful, I hope to make these a regular event. I would like them to become quarterly markets where crafters can meet socially and buy and sell resources.”
She added: “It is also great for the environment, recycling and sharing.”
Watson’s Wellness Workshops are a new venture for Andi, named after her constant companion Watson – the yellow Labrador and assistance dog. They have successfully applied for funding to run a crafts for recovery course for stroke recoverees and their carers. These begin later this month and any profits raised from the craft de stash sale will go to fund future workshops.
