STUDENTS at Guiseley School are celebrating after receiving their GCSE exam results today.
There was an air of excitement this morning as families, students and staff celebrated together after opening ‘the envelope’ and enjoyed the special occasion.
Many students are now looking forward to accepting places at Sixth Form and college and are excited to continue climbing the ladder of higher education.
A school spokesperson said: "We cannot wait to see many familiar faces at Guiseley School Sixth Form in September, and we wish those leaving Guiseley School for college or other ventures bright futures.
“Despite all the challenges they have faced, particularly with the Covid disruption so early in their secondary experience, they have a set of results to be really proud of.”
Headteacher, Paul Clayton said: “I couldn’t be prouder of our Year 11 students. Throughout their secondary journey with us they have stuck to the task, remained positive and determined. It has been a pleasure to talk to them today about their plans and next steps, we would wish all our students the very best of luck and look forward to welcoming many back to our Sixth Form in September.”
