The MP for Otley is joining local charities and council to campaign as over 1,000 Leeds pensioners miss out on pension credit to access winter fuel allowance.

Katie White, the Labour MP for Leeds North West, has teamed up with Age UK Leeds, Leeds City Council, AVSED (Aireborough Voluntary Services to the Elderly and Disabled), and Otley Action for Older People to raise awareness about unclaimed Pension Credit in the local community.

She said: “In Leeds alone, there are over 1,000 pensioners entitled to pension credit that aren’t receiving it.

"Whether it’s me, as your local MP, the Welfare Rights Team at Leeds City Council or charities like Age UK Leeds, AVSED, or Otley Action for Older People, we can guide you through the process if you haven’t done this before.”
