FAMILY owned and run, Clip 'n Climb Ilkley has been delighted to launch its Rock Stars Climb Club. Keen climbers have just completed the first block and on the last session received a certificate and dressed up in fancy dress to add a bit of extra fun.
Inspired by the recent success of Team GB in the Olympics, climbing has been a new favourite sport for many youngsters. Sally Shelton, the owner and manager of the centre said it is her dream to have someone stand on that Olympic podium one day and say 'I started climbing at Clip 'n Climb Ilkley when I was only little'."
Dave Fielden, supervisor at the centre who leads the sessions said: "I can't believe the transformation in just a few weeks. Every child's confidence has grown so much in such a short space of time. We have even more fun than regular sessions because we can get to know the children better."
One of the parents, Dom, said: “Our daughter hugely enjoys the rock stars club, it’s one of the highlights of her week. Rose loves trying new walls and the disco, and the team are always on hand to help and encourage her. It’s clear to see her confidence and resilience growing session to session as her competence increases. Rose says ‘it’s amazing!’."
Rock Stars runs on Mondays and Wednesdays term-time with sessions at 4.30pm (4-7 years) and 5.20pm (7-12 years). To enquire/book email on info@clipnclimbilkley.co.uk.
