A second book of brain-teasers has been produced by a Burley-in-Wharfedale man keen to support Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Martin Walker first compiled a book of 20 quizzes to raise money for the charity in 2008.
That raised £1,000, a cheque for which was recently presented to an air ambulance representative by Philip Davies MP at Burley Unionist Club.
Inspired by the success, Mr Walker, who has hosted popular quizzes at the club for the last few years, has produced a second quiz book.
Joined by Nicky de Whytell of the air ambulance, Mr Walker launched the new book at Otley Waitrose and had an encouraging response.
He said: “It has got off to a good start and we sold quite a few, along with some of the first book. I think it helped having Nicky from the air ambulance with me, people were interested and wanted to find out more.”
Priced £4, the book is being sold at the following outlets: Burley: The Wharfedale Deli, Burley Post Office, The Red Lion, The Queen’s Head, Costcutters; Addingham: the Craven Heiffer; Ilkley: The Grove Bookshop.
Mr Walker is also hopeful of getting more businesses, including some in the Yorkshire Dales, to take the book over the summer.
