The people of Otley are being invited to have their say on how parking in the town could be improved.
Leeds City Council agreed to review the parking situation in March after a survey showed the town had major issues that needed to be tackled.
Work on a town centre parking strategy is now under way and residents will have a chance to give their views at two public information events at Otley Library next week.
City council staff will be joined by parking strategy consultants Mouchel at the library from noon to 6pm on Friday, July 3, and from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, July 4.
The council’s joint leader and executive member for development, Coun Andrew Carter, said: “I would like to encourage as many local residents as possible to come along and discuss their experiences of parking in Otley town centre at one of these public involvement events.”
Information from recent surveys will be on show along with leaflets detailing the problems. Mouchel will use the feedback to help it draw up recommendations for a new parking strategy for the town.
Response forms and leaflets will also be available at the Civic Centre and One Stop Centre on Boroughgate. Online responses can be made at leeds.gov.uk/otleyparkingstrategy.
