Residents are being urged to play an active role in tackling Otley’s parking shortages by visiting two events in the town over the next few days.
Leeds City Council, working with consultants Mouchel, is developing a new parking strategy to try and improve things for shoppers, residents, commuters, businesses and visitors.
Residents can find out more and give their opinions about the best way forward by visiting Otley Library between noon and 6pm today or between 10am and 4pm tomorrow.
Coun Ryk Downes (Lib Dem, Otley and Yeadon) said: “Otley has been identified as one of the worst areas in Leeds for parking so it is crucial that residents get involved at these early planning stages.
“As local councillors we have been working with officers on a solution to Otley’s parking problem.
“I would urge everyone with an interest to either come to Otley Library, pick up a leaflet or visit the website and give us feedback.”
Response forms and leaflets will also be available from the Civic Centre and from the One Stop Centre on Boroughgate.
