The Wharfedale FA Under-17 squad won their second successive game in this season’s West Riding County FA Minor Cup.
They gained a hard-fought 2-1 win over Keighley FA at Guiseley AFC on Monday night.
A superb free-kick from Henry Myers (Guiseley U-17s and Rawdon Old Boys) opened the scoring for Wharfedale and they went 2-0 up with a strike from Burley Trojans player Andrew Tindall in the 34th minute.. Keighley hit back with a goal in the second-half and things were tense for a while but Wharfedale hung on for victory.
Wharfedale face two games in December, at home to Harrogate and on December 16 away to Bradford at Fields FC.
