METHODIST CHURCH: On Sunday, Mothering Sunday, the Rev Nick Baker led the family and parade service at 10.30am. The children gave out posies of daffodils, as is our custom, and new flags for the Scouts, Cubs and Beavers were dedicated. The Rev Fiona Spandler officiated at a united service of holy communion in the evening. Everyone is welcome at coffee stop today between 10am and 11.30am. This coming Sunday the preachers are Ted Price in the morning and Joan Walls at the united service in the evening. There is the regular prayer and meditation service on Tuesday at 9.30am. On Wednesday, between 7.30pm and 9pm, there is the last in the series of Lent study sessions on the theme Build on the Rock: Faith, doubt - and Jesus.
BRIDGE CLUB: On Thursday, March 27, eight and a half tables played 27 boards, N/S: 1st Mr Flockton & Mr Martin, 2nd Mrs Bent & Mrs Harfield; E/W: 1st Mrs Humphreys & Mrs Sharland, 2nd Mrs Banks & Mr Spencer.
