THE PRIORY CHURCH: The services for Holy Week and Easter are as follows: today, Maundy Thursday, 7pm eucharist of the Last Supper with footwashing and watch before the Blessed Sacrament until 9pm. Tomorrow, Good Friday, at 10am there is a children’s service and hot cross buns, at noon the three-hour devotion with the liturgy of Good Friday led by the Rector and at 7pm The empty silence, a sequence of words and music for Good Friday with the priory choir; on Holy Saturday, at 7pm, there is Easter Eve ceremonies with lighting of the Easter candle; on Easter Day, 8am holy communion, 10.30am sung festal eucharist, 6.30pm evening prayer. Everyone is welcome to join us at any of the services. Each Wednesday there is a communion service at 10am. All services are BCP. We are now collecting for Skipton Food Bank, with fortnightly deliveries being made. Contributions can be left after services or left in church.
