METHODIST CHURCH: Morning worship on Sunday was led by Stan Loach and, being Palm Sunday, the theme of the service was Jesus’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem and the events leading up to Holy Week. At 6pm a joint Churches Together in Burley and Menston service was held in the quiet and meditative style of Taize, led by the Rev Paul Wheelhouse. Today, Maundy Thursday, there will be a Reflective Communion Service at Burley Methodist Church and tomorrow, Good Friday, the Churches Together Walk of Witness will begin at 10am at St John’s, Menston, finishing outside the Grange at Burley. At our Partnership Churches tomorrow evening, Olivet to Calvary will be performed at Menston Methodist Church at 7.30pm and there will be a service of music and meditation at Addingham Methodist Church at 7pm.
