BRIDGE CLUB: On Tuesday, April 15, seven and a half tables played 28 boards. Winners: N/S 1st Mrs Banks & Mr Spencer, 2nd Mr Ford & Mr Kilburn. E/W 1st Mr Dracup & Mrs Streets, 2nd Mrs Byrne & Mrs Bradley.
ROTARY CLUB: At the weekly meeting of the club held on Tuesday last, the speaker was one of our own members, Rotarian Peter Long who is also the President of Yeadon Charities Association. He gave a most interesting illustrated talk about the history of Yeadon Pantomime from its inception seventy five years ago. Time did not allow him for progress following the last war so he will be coming back to give us Part 2. Thanks were expressed by Rotarian Norman Gledhill. On Sunday last, Easter Day, the Club organised an Egg Hunt with several competitions for children at the Rodley Nature Reserve. Rotarians dressed as Easter Bunnies were in charge and even though the weather was rather mixed, all had a good time searching for hidden eggs. Proceeds were for Martin House.
