A popular former Guiseley infant school teacher has died after a long illness.
Patricia Holdsworth, who died last Thursday, aged 79, spent 17 years at the school from 1973 until her retirement in 1990.
During her time at the School, Mrs Holdsworth, who lived in Victoria Mount, Horsforth, ran the school recorder group and also took on the conductor role for the Aireborough Primary and Infant Schools at the Queen’s Silver Jubilee concerts held at Yeadon Town Hall in 1977.
Retired headmistress and former colleague, Cynthia Ashton, said: “Pat was highly regarded and much loved by all the teachers and children during her time at Guiseley Infant School.”
Mrs Holdsworth leaves husband Peter, daughter Carole and sons Richard and John.
A funeral service takes place at Rawdon Crematorium at 11.40am on Monday.
