A new name will be engraved on the Wharfedale & District FA Challenge Cup on Monday night.
Neither Ilkley Town or Otley Rovers, who meet at Guiseley’s Nethermoor Ground (7.30pm), have ever lifted the trophy.
West Yorkshire Division One side Ilkley Town went close two years ago when they reached the final before losing to Otley Town 3-2.
They will start as favourites but that doesn’t mean that their Harrogate League Division One rivals can be dismissed lightly One player Ilkley will have to keep an eye on is striker Tom Fleming. He scored five goals when Rovers beat Addingham 8-2 in the quarter-finals and was also on target when they edged out Baildon Trinity Athletic 2-1 to clinch their final place.
Ilkley’s passage to the final has seen them defeat Ventus/Yeadon Celtic 2-1 and Rawdon Old Boys 3-1.
Their dangermnan is top scorer Phil Thomessen, who netted twice in the win over Rawdon Old Boys in the semi-finals and is a potential match-winner.
