Yeadon were feeling under the weather on Saturday as rain halted their push for victory against Windhill.
The Division Two promo- tion chasers were handily placed at 99-1 after 13 overs in reply to their opponents; score of 179-6 when play was abandoned.
There was just enough time in the Yeadon innings for experienced opening batsman Damon Gormley to score the 46 he needed to reach 5,000 Bradford League career runs.
Gormley was unbeaten on 46 when Yeadon’s innings was brought to a premature end.
Windhill’s innings was dominated by Joe Olleren- shaw who made a fine 102. He struck a six and 15 fours to rescue his side from 7-2.
Oliver Halliday was again the most successful Yeadon bowler as he returned figures of 3-45.
Leaders Farsley were the only team to achieve a positive result on Saturday when they defeated Idle by seven wickets.
Yeadon, who are at home to Bowling Old Lane, on Saturday have four games in which to make up ground on New Farnley and Spen Victoria who are their rivals for promotion.
